Local to Rogers for over 20 years, Mandel is a teaching assistant professor at the University of Arkansas, teaching in the Human Resources Development program. He’s also an alum, having earned both his MBA and doctorate in Higher Education Administration at the U of A.
In 2016, Mandel served on the Board of Adjustments, then joined the City Planning Commission in 2018. He later became Chair of the City Planning Commission in 2021, working to develop a unified development code for Rogers.
Mandel has over 38 years of demonstrated success in education and organizational management. He’s accomplished in areas such as strategic planning, budget development, technological advancement, project management, and stakeholder relationships. He also has excellent communication and leadership skills.
Northwest Arkansas is experiencing a period of high growth, and strong development will continue in the years to come. Mandel wants to focus on creating the infrastructure our cities need to support this growth and keep our communities thriving. This includes connecting parts of Rogers for more convenient access and ensuring that our growth and development is responsible and sustainable in the coming years.
